DESCRIPTION:It’s time to give the greatest gift again…and this time there will be even more to go around!\n\nOur hearts filled with gratitude for the incredible showing our supporters gave us at our newly reimagined Gift of Home Celebration in 2025! Not only was our first Gift of Home Celebration our most well-attended fundraising event in Oak City Cares history\, but we raised a staggering $195\,638! Most importantly\, this evening was a beautiful picture of our community coming together to remind everyone that we all have a duty to care for and a part to play in the lives our local unhoused neighbors. \nThat’s why we want to go even bigger this year! As our community continues to face turning tides of uncertainty\, we want to be prepared for change. This year\, we’re setting a goal of $225\,000 so we can continue to be a beacon for those facing the worst form of uncertainty: losing a home. In the last year\, we rehoused 194 households.
