Union Hall is one of the largest event venues located in the heart of downtown Raleigh. We have a space unique to Raleigh, that has a history dating back to 1840 that has adapted and grown with the years, while still keeping touches of charm from our history.

Our History
A Historic Venue with a Rich Legacy
Located in the Depot Historic District of Downtown Raleigh, Union Hall was on the original site of Raleigh's original Train Depot, running on site from 1890-1940's. The industrial structural beams of the building that still can be seen pay homage to the former Union Depot originally dating back to the 1890's.
Creating New Memories
The trains that carried so many people from all across the country from 1890 -1940, and on to many parties, work days, and celebrations still hold the items we strive for today. We strive to bring people in to help tell the stories of their lives and create the memories that they can carry with them!

Our Spaces
Grand Hall:
Our industrial building holds a depth of history and architecture that reflects this with our original beams and the load lifter overhead. Our Grand Hall can accommodate over 700 guests for a mixed-seating style event. and 400 guests for a plated meal. Our industrial modern space can be designed easily for straightforward events or adapted for a plethora of designs. Union Hall boasts 40’ tall ceilings, a window wall, and industrial designs.
Terrace:
Our terrace has a breathtaking view into downtown Raleigh that cannot be competed with! With multiple power sources and seasonal flower beds it is the perfect space for cocktail hours, photos, and light night drinks and snacks! With lights that encompass the space, it is the perfect space all day, and has the perfect ambience whether you are looking for a dance party with a city view, or a cigar and bourbon bar to delight your guests!
The Trackside Garden:
Our newest addition, the trackside garden gives a romantic feel to our industrial spaces. Boasting NC pollinator landscaping, we are proud to show off our newest addition later this year! Stay tuned to see the vision come to life in our Trackside Garden!
